Seek and Destroy Map Pack Released for Section 8

January 15, 2010 - Today TimeGate released the first map pack for Section 8 as downloadable content. Included are three brand new maps for multiplayer and instant action, and ten new achievements for gamers to unlock. Official dedicated servers have been set up to run the new maps in a number of varying gameplay scenarios.

Azure Basin, the first of the three new maps, consists of three control points spread out below a massive dam on the coast of a sprawling ocean. Players will battle in and around the dam in an effort to secure not only its commanding power production capabilities, but also to gain a strategic choke point against their enemy's mainland advancements.

The sun-dried remains of a massive unknown life-form make up the topography found in Devil's Backbone. The skeleton of the once proud carnivore lies between two high-yield industrial facilities. With such vast resources lying just below the soil of this battleground, victory here will surely mean an enormous step forward in the winner's war effort.

In Hornet's Nest, an Arm of Orion high-tech military facility lies imbedded in the cliff faces of a deep canyon. The cover provided by the canyon makes an aerial bombardment of the facility nearly impossible, so teams will have to burn-in in attempt to wrestle control of the facility from one another; however, soldiers should take care to land on the catwalk as there is no known way out of the canyon if they should misjudge their landing.

The Seek and Destroy map pack is available via the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and retails for 560 Microsoft Points.
